The population was 19,806 at the 2010 United States Census. Saginaw, Texas is a Home rule municipality. The median household income was $67,797, and the median family income was $72,147. Male full-time, year-round workers had a median income of $52,939 versus $38,899 for females. The per capita income [SLS] for the city was $26,797. No colleges or universities are present in this small community, but the city lies within driving distance to Fort Worth and the rest of the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, which contains a number of colleges and universities including the Tarrant County College system.
